In recent years there has been increased interest in using Laughter Yoga at wellbeing events for staff. I have personally held Laughter Yoga workshops amongst other Yoga and Mental Wellbeing workshops at 3M, Direct Line, Frank PR and The Children's Trust amongst many others.
The end result is that both employers and employees are happy. People who are happy at work stay, saving the company money on advertising and training. Happy people are more productive people – making more money for the company.
People who can laugh together can work together.
Laughter Yoga is a great way to start or end your conference and other events with participants feeling on a natural high, uplifted and happy with good memories of the day.

MEDITATION AND YOGA FOR MENTAL HEALTH
Evidence keeps adding up that yoga is both beneficial for physical and mental health. Depression has now been confirmed by the World Health Organisation as the predominant mental health problem as well as the leading form of ill health and disability worldwide. More than 300 million people are living with depression. Anxiety is additionally on the rise with a 50% increase over the last 20 years.
During my PhD research of examining the effects of yoga on depression and anxiety it is obvious that this could be a way forward. This workshop offering then, showcases the benefits yoga and meditation could have on our levels and symptoms of depression and anxiety. Backed with evidence based research, this workshop incorporates yogic self-help tools and exercises for the attendees to implement into their own lives.
It is estimated that currently 300 million people are experiencing depression and anxiety worldwide. In the UK it is estimated that 300,000 -460,000 people are practising yoga. From personal experience I can confidently say that a vast majority of these people attending yoga classes in the UK will be doing so as a way to experience some relief from their daily struggles with anxiety or depression. This workshop is for them.
